GHS Graduation Relocated to the Gym

Due to the continued threat of severe thunderstorms for this evening, Giddings High School Graduation will take place in the GHS gym. Each graduate will receive 10 tickets for their family and friends. The ceremony will also be streamed to the GHS cafeteria for overflow seating for those that do not have a ticket.

We apologize if this causes an inconvenience for families, but we believe that the safety of our graduates and their families is the most important consideration. We also wanted to make this announcement early enough in the day to allow families to make plans for this evening. The gym will be open at 7:00 PM for spectators that have a ticket.

2 Hour Early Release - Friday, November 20, 2015

On Friday, November 20, 2015 our football team, managers, trainers, band, cheerleaders, and buffalo gals will be traveling to Pearland for a playoff game. Due to a shortage of buses and bus drivers, we will need to have a two hour early release on Friday, November 20, 2015. All students will be released two hours early. Afternoon bus routes will also run two hours earlier than normal.

As always, the safety of our children is our number one priority. By having an early release, we are assured to have the proper number of drivers available and in the event of a bus breakdown, an extra bus to transport our children home safely. Enjoy and have a great weekend. Go Buffaloes!
