On September 29th the GHS Beta Club held their annual banquet and induction ceremony. Following a catered meal and speech given by GIS teacher and alumnus Megan Rangel, 34 juniors and seniors were officially welcomed into the National Beta Club. In addition to displaying the ideals of achievement, character, and leadership, Beta Club members must maintain a 3.5 GPA, participate in the UIL Academic program, enroll in a minimum of one advanced class, and perform community service hours each semester.
