Giddings I.S.D. employees work different numbers of days based on needs of each individual position. Employees should use the calendars below to guide them on the days they are required to work for their position.
Professional employees are hired on a contract basis for a 10, 11, or 12 month period as determined by the duties associated with their position. The days listed are a guideline for the minimum number of days for each position and may not include all of the actual days needed to complete the required responsibilities. The minimum number of days for teaching positions was reduced from 187 to 185 beginning in 2017-2018 as a result of the District of Innovation Plan.
Schedules may be changed based on the needs of the district if approved in writing by the employee's supervisor.
