The Giddings Special Services Department continues to strive to meet the needs of all children and provide support through special services to students who demonstrate an educational need. The mission of the Special Services department is to provide appropriate instruction to ensure all students learn at high levels. In addition, the department provides support to a wide variety of programs: special education, 504, and dyslexia. Resources are implemented to assure an appropriate public education is available to all students within the least restrictive instructional arrangement
The Giddings ISD provides services for persons between the age of 3 years and 21 years of age who may be:
Orthopedically Impaired
Other Health Impaired
Intellectually Impaired
Emotionally Impaired
Learning Impaired
Speech Impaired
Autistic/Pervasive
Developmental Disorder
Multiple Disabilities
Traumatic Brain Injured
Persons who are between the age of 0 - 22 who may be:
Visually Impaired
Auditorially Impaired
Deaf/Blind
