Buffalo Band Earns 26th Consecutive Division 1 Rating

On Saturday, October 15, Giddings ISD hosted the UIL Region 18/26 Marching Contest. Twenty-Five area bands, classes 1A through 4A, participated . The Giddings High School Buffalo Band received First Division Rating from all three judges, making this the 26th consecutive year the Buffalo Band has been awarded this distinction, and continuing the longest streak of First Divisions in Marching for any band in our classification within 95 miles.  

The Buffalo Band capped off the competition as the last band of the day, performing this year’s show entitled “New Horizons".

With this accomplishment, The Buffalo Band has qualified for the Area Level competition in Liberty HIll on Saturday, October 29, along with an estimated 30 other 4A bands from central and north texas. The top scoring bands at Area will advance to the State Marching Band Contest in November.
