Giddings ISD is deeply saddened to share the passing of two longtime members of our school community, Mr. Arthur Noack and Mr. Bobby Martin. Their contributions to our district and the countless lives they impacted will not be forgotten.
Mr. Noack devoted many years to Giddings High School as a mathematics teacher. He was known for his commitment to his students, his steady presence in the classroom, and his ability to make a lasting impact on generations of students through his teaching and mentorship. Mr. Noack passed away during the early morning hours of Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at St. David’s South Austin Medical Center with his family at his side.
Mr. Martin faithfully served Giddings ISD in many roles, including as a special education instructional assistant and truancy officer. Throughout his time in the district, he demonstrated a deep care for students and families, always working to support those in need and ensure students had every opportunity to succeed. Mr. Martin passed away on the afternoon of Saturday, April 18, 2026, with his family at his side.
Both men exemplified a spirit of service and dedication that helped shape the culture of Giddings ISD. Their absence will be felt across our campuses and throughout the community.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families, friends, colleagues, and former students of Mr. Noack and Mr. Martin during this time. Giddings ISD joins our community in honoring their lives and the lasting legacy they leave behind.
