
Computer Science students sent two teams to the 2024 HPE CodeWars event in Houston. CodeWars is a programming contest organized by HPE volunteers in which students demonstrate their coding skills by solving more than 30 problems in just 3 hours. The students participating this year include Kooper Bloodworth, Georges Baz, Naomi Aguilar-Flores, Jonathan Marshall, Pablo Luna, and Braden Mueth.

NOTICE!! Friday game update for GHS Softball!!


All Class Dues are due by this Friday March 1st in order for any student who plans on attending prom to receive their prom ticket, this includes GHS Guests of a Junior or Senior.
What are class dues and what used for at GHS?
Class dues are to be paid each year they attend GHS starting their Freshman year all the way to Senior year.
Class dues are used towards certain events throughout your students time at GHS. For example their Junior year, dues for that year and previous years are used for Prom expenses such as venue rental or decorations. Their Senior year, dues are used to help cover the cost of their Senior trip.

This is a great opportunity to see what GHS has to offer for early college credit earnings while in high school.

Wednesday January 24: Due to heavy rain & flooding in our area there is a 2 hour delay this morning.


This Saturday, at the first judging of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Art Competition, two GHS students advanced to the final show. The final show is made up of 600 artworks from 110 school districts. The top 74 artworks will be selected from the 600 artworks in March.
Senior, Cassidy Lucas received a "Best of Show", along with Senior, Julie Pos, who received a "Gold" award. Both are eligible for scholarships, workshops, and cash awards. If you see them, wish them luck!
